Below are a few guidelines on how to prepare your artwork.

If you cannot find what you need to know here, or require further clarification on any of the listed topics, please contact us.

Garment Printing:

FILES
All files should be supplied as Press-ready PDF files with, crop marks, fold marks and bleed in place. Using CMYK colour mode, scans at 300dpi and fonts turned to outlines. Files under 20mb please send via email, larger files please send for with www.wetransfer.com

Software / Applications
We use Coreldraw 2019, Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop CS5  for PC. If you have a newer version of the software please convert to older version of the file when saving, otherwise we won't be able to use it. If you do not own any of these applications , many customers use www.canva.com  just remember to save the files as we request it.

IMPORTANT: Microsoft Office / Publisher users or other applications - artwork supplied in these formats are notoriously unstable for printing, they do not use or are able to produce the correct colour swatches, paper sizes, bleeds and crop marks needed to print your files successfully and often change in format and fonts when opened from one computer to the next. We strongly recommend you use a designer to reset the artwork to our specification, or we can do this for you - price on application.

Layout
Most of our products follow standard 'A' paper sizes. Please supply everything in a 'one up' basis (unless otherwise requested), i.e. provide one business card on a 85 x 55mm page or one A4 leaflet on a 210 x 297 page.

Photo Scans and Images
Images should be provided at a minimum of 300dpi size and saved in CMYK format.

Bleed
Images, background colours and fills which are intended to extend to the edge of the page should be extended 3mm beyond the page to give a bleed. Text, boxes and other areas you need on your finished job should sit 5mm in from the edges of the page.

Fonts
 - Please turn all fonts turned to outlines – We can use embedded fonts but some fonts have license restrictions.
 - Please call before you send large files. If you have Huge files you may want to supply on USB stick or send through wetransfer.com
 - All artwork should be supplied in PDF format as well as a high resolution JPEG so we may use as a visual hardcopy.
 - PDF's should be editable, have the fonts turned to outlines and include any bleed and crop marks.

Samples of how to set-up your artwork:

Business cards
- Press Ready PDF file
- Finished Size: 85 x 55mm
- CMYK colour format
- Crop marks in place
- 3mm Bleed
- 5mm Quiet bleed – we recommend text should be 5mm away from the finished edge.
- All fonts turned to outlines/curves – We can use embedded fonts but some fonts have licence restrictions on them and change when we receive and output them. So outlining the fonts stops that from happening as it turns them into a picture. Also, if we do not have the font and you want us to change text, spelling etc , we won’t be able to.

A5 Flyers
- Press Ready PDF file
- Finished Size: 210 x 148mm
- CMYK colour format
- Crop marks in place
- 3mm Bleed
- 5mm Quiet bleed – we recommend text should be 5mm away from the finished edge.
- All fonts turned to outlines/curves – We can use embedded fonts but some fonts have licence restrictions on them and change when we receive and output them. So outlining the fonts stops that from happening as it turns them into a picture. Also, if we do not have the font and you want us to change text, spelling etc , we won’t be able to.

TEMPLATES: We can supply templates, you can use them to setup your artwork, but please remember to remove them when you finish, because if it’s on your artwork that’s how it will be printed.
